The Mennonite Life Visitors Center staff invites pastors and congregational leaders to an open house on Tuesday, October 15.

For 50 years, the Mennonite Life Visitors Center has invited guests from around the world to witness the significance of the Old Testament Tabernacle as it relates to Anabaptism and the broader church. This past summer alone, we welcomed over 6,000 guests through our doors.

Each of our two upcoming open houses (click here for information on the October 28 open house) will begin with a complimentary showing of the Biblical Tabernacle Experience followed by a brief discussion linking the story of the Tabernacle to Anabaptism today. Afterwards you’ll have time to browse the educational resources available at our store, take in a showing of our free movie, “We Believe,” and enjoy further conversation over coffee, donuts, and refreshments.

Please register for the open house below.

Did You Know?

The sandstone used for the Herr House was quarried on-site.

Christian Herr was a prominent leader in the 18th century Mennonite Community. Years after his death Lancaster Mennonites were still referred to as the Christian Herr Party.

Indigenous Peoples taught the Herr family and other Mennonites how to hunt game, clear heavily forested land, and how to identify native plants.
