Attend the Applique Beadwork Beginner Workshop and design and create your own work. Instructor Jess McPherson guides students through material and design concepts and then familiarizes them with one- and two-needle techniques. Applique is ornamental needlework sewn into fabric to form pictures or patterns.
Preregister by April 16. Ages 14 and over. Cost is $85 (Supplies included.)
Jess McPherson is an award-winning multi-disciplinary fine artist and master craftsperson. She served as gallery director for the community arts center, YorkArts (now Creative York); independent teaching and showing artist/craftsperson; cultural educator for Native American LifeLines Urban Indian Health Program; powwow vendor; and arts consultant. She currently works as Finance Director for Native American LifeLines and serves as a volunteer and board member of Circle Legacy Center, Lancaster-based Native American cultural awareness and preservation organization.
