Join us for a community hymn sing celebrating the 500th Anniversary of Anabaptism. Song leaders from Mennonite churches across Lancaster County will lead hymns highlighting the history of Mennonite song and worship.

Communal singing will be interspersed with short vignettes further exploring shifts in Anabaptist worship throughout the centuries.

Registration is not required for this event, but if you would like to suggest a hymn for the group to sing, please use the “Register” button on this page.

Christian Herr was a prominent leader in the 18th century Mennonite Community. Years after his death Lancaster Mennonites were still referred to as the Christian Herr Party.

Indigenous Peoples taught the Herr family and other Mennonites how to hunt game, clear heavily forested land, and how to identify native plants.
