Join Mennonite Life for a webinar with Troy Osborne, author of Radical & Reformers: A Survey of Global Anabaptist History.
From renegade gatherings of Christian believers in the 1500s to a global communion of more than 2.1 million members, the Anabaptist-Mennonite movement has been marked by faithfulness and failure, continuity and conflict, radicalism and reformation. In this engaging history, Radicals & Reformers traces the origins and development of the Anabaptist and Mennonite movements from their beginnings in Europe through their spread across the globe.
Author Troy Osborne will be join virtually from Canada. Osborne is a historian whose research and teaching interests center generally on Mennonite history and the Reformation, particularly on the development of the Dutch Anabaptist tradition. His research uses discipline records and political appeals to trace the development of a Mennonite identity within the Dutch Republic and one that extended transnationally across Europe. A professor of History and Theological Studies at Conrad Grebel University College, University of Waterloo, he teaches courses on the sixteenth-century Reformations, the Radical Reformation, Mennonite Studies, and an introductory survey of European History.
