Who we are
Mennonite Life is a Pennsylvania-based 501(c)(3) organization with a stated mission “to hold, honor, and share items and stories featuring the lived experiences and faith values of Lancaster Mennonites and interrelated communities.” The organization oversees collections and programming at two different campuses in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The organization has an annual budget of approximately $1M, 20 staff members, and engages roughly 65 volunteers annually.
Why this role matters
At Mennonite Life, we bring Anabaptist history to life—preserving stories, educating future generations, and fostering meaningful connections. We need a leader who will report to the Board of Directors and can expand our reach, strengthen donor relationships, and ensure long-term sustainability. Candidates with leadership experience in nonprofits, for-profit businesses, or academic environments are encouraged to apply.
What you’ll do
Provide strategic leadership to advance Mennonite Life’s mission and impact as defined in the organization’s strategic plan.
Oversee daily operations, staff, and volunteers to ensure excellence in programming and visitor experience.
Cultivate relationships with donors, partners, and stakeholders to grow financial support.
Develop innovative initiatives to engage new and existing constituents.
Manage budgets and resources effectively to ensure financial health.
